TikTok Engagement Rate Calculator
Enter any public @username to get its engagement rate, by views and by followers, with average likes, comments, shares and a video-by-video breakdown of the last ten posts.
Real interactions
Likes, comments, shares and views of the last ten videos, read live from TikTok — not an estimate from the follower count.
Two ways to measure
By views, the TikTok standard, and by followers, the number agencies often quote, so you can compare with any report.
Free, no login
Any public account, unlimited checks, no TikTok account, no sign-up, and the creator is never notified.
Check the engagement rate of any TikTok account
Followers tell you how big an account is; engagement tells you whether anyone is still listening. This free TikTok engagement rate calculator loads the last ten public videos of any @username and measures how many viewers actually like, comment and share.
You get the engagement rate the way TikTok marketers read it — interactions divided by views — and the follower-based rate many agencies still quote, with the averages behind them and each video on its own line, so one viral post can’t hide nine weak ones.

Why check a TikTok engagement rate?
On TikTok, the For You feed decides who sees a video, so followers say little about reach. Engagement shows whether content lands.
Vetting influencers
Spot accounts with big follower counts but weak recent engagement before you pay for a sponsored post.
Tracking your own account
Measure the effect of a new format or posting rhythm on your last ten videos, without the TikTok app’s analytics.
Watching competitors
Compare your engagement with the accounts in your niche to see which content their audience actually reacts to.
How the TikTok engagement rate is calculated
Over the account’s last ten public videos:
- Engagement rate by views = (likes + comments + shares) ÷ views × 100, summed over the ten videos.
- Engagement rate by followers = average interactions per video ÷ followers × 100.
- Average likes, comments, shares and views per video, so you can see what drives the rate.
- A line per video with its own rate, to spot a single viral post skewing the average.
- Saves (favourites) are shown in the per-video data but, as in most tools, left out of the rate.
Limitations
- Private accounts hide their videos, so their engagement can’t be measured.
- Only the last ten public videos are counted — recent performance, not lifetime averages.
- TikTok rounds large numbers on public pages (e.g. 1.2M), so very big accounts carry a small rounding margin.
How to calculate TikTok engagement rate manually
Pick a video, add its likes, comments and shares, divide by its views and multiply by 100. Do it for several recent videos and average them — or sum all interactions and divide by all views, which is what this calculator does so that big and small videos weigh fairly.
Privacy
Tiklo reads public profiles and public videos when you press Calculate. Nothing is stored, the username is never logged, and the account owner is not notified.
What is a good engagement rate on TikTok?
Engagement rate by views (likes + comments + shares ÷ views) for one account’s recent videos:
| Engagement rate | Rating | What it usually means |
|---|---|---|
| Under 2% | Low | Views come from the feed but few viewers react; common for very large or brand accounts. |
| 2% – 5% | Average | Typical for most active creators. |
| 5% – 10% | Good | An audience that reacts; attractive for brand deals. |
| Over 10% | Excellent | A very engaged community, often in a tight niche. |
Benchmarks vary by niche and account size: smaller accounts usually have higher rates.
