TikTok’s Creator Rewards Program pays roughly $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, which works out to about $400 to $1,000 per million views. It only pays on videos longer than 1 minute, and most creators earn far more from brand deals, TikTok Shop and LIVE gifts than from views.

Below you will find the per-view math, what a “qualified view” is, what likes, followers and gifts are really worth, and how much creators of every size tend to make. All numbers are estimates based on reported ranges, not official rate cards.

Quick estimate: what could your account earn?

Type your totals, or the size you are aiming at, and drag the slider. It is a rough, follower-based model, good for “what if I had 100K followers” questions. For a real account, the @username calculator further down reads its actual views.

How much does TikTok pay per view?

On Creator Rewards, a single view is worth about $0.0004 to $0.001. That sounds tiny, and it is: you need a thousand views to earn somewhere between 40 cents and a dollar.

Not every view counts, though. TikTok only pays for qualified views, which are views from the For You feed that meet a set of rules (explained further down). On many videos, qualified views are only part of the total view count you see on the post.

Here is what that range looks like at different view counts:

ViewsEstimated Creator Rewards
1,000$0.40 to $1.00
10,000$4 to $10
100,000$40 to $100
1 million$400 to $1,000
10 million$4,000 to $10,000

These figures assume every view qualifies. In practice, your payout is usually lower than the top of the range.

How much does TikTok pay for 1 million views?

For 1 million qualified views, Creator Rewards pays roughly $400 to $1,000. For 100,000 views, expect around $40 to $100. For 10 million views, around $4,000 to $10,000.

Three things move you up or down inside that range:

  • Audience country. Viewers in the US, UK and Western Europe are worth more to advertisers, so they tend to pay more per view than viewers in lower-cost ad markets.
  • Watch time and engagement. TikTok says its formula rewards videos people actually watch, search for and interact with. A video watched to the end is worth more than one people swipe away from.
  • Originality. Original, high-quality videos earn more. Reposts, compilations and lightly edited clips may not qualify at all.

So two creators with the same million views can see very different payouts. A tech tutorial watched mostly in the US may land near $1,000, while a quick meme viewed worldwide may land closer to $400 or below.

Does TikTok pay for likes or followers?

No. TikTok does not pay you directly for likes, comments, shares or followers. Creator Rewards pays only for qualified views.

Likes and followers still have value, just indirectly:

  • 1,000 likes are worth $0 in direct payouts. But a high like-to-view ratio tells the algorithm (and brands) that people care, which can lead to more views and better sponsorship offers.
  • 1,000 followers are worth $0 from TikTok itself. That said, 1,000 followers is the threshold for going LIVE and for TikTok Shop affiliate in many countries, and a nano creator with an engaged audience can charge roughly $5 to $50 for a sponsored post.

If you want to see how engaged an audience really is, our engagement rate calculator shows the ratio brands look at before they pay.

What counts as a qualified view?

TikTok has its own definition, and it is stricter than the view counter on your video. A qualified view generally needs to meet these conditions:

  • It comes from the For You feed, not from your profile, search, or a shared link.
  • The viewer watched for more than 5 seconds.
  • It comes from a real user, not a bot or a fraudulent source.
  • The video is original content. Duets, stitches, reposts and unoriginal compilations do not qualify.
  • The video is at least 1 minute long.
  • The video has passed 1,000 qualified views. Earnings only start counting after that point.

This is why the money on a viral 20-second clip can be zero: it is too short to qualify, no matter how many views it gets.

Creator Rewards Program: who can join?

To join Creator Rewards, you need to meet all of the following:

  • Be 18 or older (19 in South Korea).
  • Have at least 10,000 followers.
  • Have at least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
  • Keep your account in good standing with TikTok’s Community Guidelines.
  • Live in an eligible country, such as the US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea or Brazil. The list changes, so check TikTok Studio for the current one.

Creator Rewards replaced the old Creator Fund, which paid only about $0.02 to $0.04 per 1,000 views. The new program pays much more per view, but only for longer videos.

6 ways to make money on TikTok

Six ways to make money on TikTok: brand deals, Creator Rewards, TikTok Shop, affiliate links, LIVE gifts, subscriptions

Views are only one income stream. Most full-time creators stack several of these.

Brand deals

Sponsored posts are where most creators make real money. Reported rates per post by audience size:

TierFollowersPrice per sponsored post
Nano1K to 10K$5 to $50
Micro10K to 100K$50 to $500
Mid100K to 500K$500 to $2,500
Macro500K to 1M$2,500 to $5,000
Mega1M+$5,000 to $20,000+

Engagement and niche matter as much as follower count. A 50K finance creator with loyal viewers can out-earn a 500K entertainment account.

Creator Rewards

The view-based program covered above: roughly $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views on videos over 1 minute. Steady, but rarely enough to live on unless you post long videos that reach millions.

TikTok Shop & affiliate

With TikTok Shop affiliate, you tag products in videos or LIVEs and earn a commission on each sale, usually 5% to 20%, with some categories reaching up to 30%. A video that sells 200 units of a $30 product at 15% commission brings in about $900, often more than the same views pay through Creator Rewards.

LIVE gifts

During a LIVE, viewers buy coins and send virtual gifts that turn into Diamonds you can cash out. The next section breaks down what each gift is worth.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions let fans pay a monthly fee for badges, custom emotes and subscriber-only content. Creators can set prices from $2.99 to $99.99 per month, with $5.99 as the default. After app store fees and TikTok’s share, creators keep roughly half. So 200 subscribers at $5.99 bring in about $600 a month.

Selling your own products

Merch, digital products, courses, coaching or a service business: TikTok is a powerful funnel for anything you own. You keep most of the margin, and you are not dependent on TikTok’s payout rules.

How much do TikTok LIVE gifts pay?

Value of popular TikTok LIVE gifts in coins and dollars

Here is how the gift economy works:

  1. Viewers buy coins inside the app. Depending on the pack size and platform, they pay roughly $0.0105 to $0.0135 per coin.
  2. Viewers send gifts during a LIVE. Each gift costs a set number of coins.
  3. Gifts turn into Diamonds for the creator.
  4. Creators cash out Diamonds for real money.

Creators end up with roughly half of the coin value, about $0.005 per coin. Sources disagree here: reported estimates range from 30% to 50% of what the viewer paid, and TikTok does not publish an exact rate.

GiftCoinsViewer pays (approx.)Creator gets (approx.)

How much does a Galaxy pay on TikTok?

A Galaxy costs 1,000 coins, which is about $13 for the viewer. The creator receives roughly $5 after TikTok’s share. That is why a single big gift feels huge on screen but is a smaller amount in the creator’s bank account.

How much does TikTok LIVE pay per day?

It depends entirely on your audience. A small creator going LIVE for an hour with 30 viewers might collect a few hundred coins, which is only $1 to $5. A mid-size creator with a loyal community can make $20 to $200 a day. Top streamers with dedicated gifters can reportedly earn thousands of dollars in a single session, but they are the exception.

How much do TikTokers make by follower count?

Here is a directional picture of monthly earnings by tier. Real numbers vary a lot by niche, engagement and how many income streams a creator uses.

How to earn more on TikTok

Build for watch time and 1-minute videos

Creator Rewards only pays on videos over 1 minute, and it rewards watch time. Hook viewers in the first two seconds and give them a reason to stay to the end.

Pick a monetizable niche

Finance, tech, beauty, fitness and education attract advertisers who pay more per view and per sponsored post than broad entertainment niches.

Make content that converts

Brands pay for results. Clear product demos, honest reviews and tutorials drive clicks and sales, which raises your rates over time.

Stack several revenue streams

Combine Creator Rewards, brand deals, affiliate links and subscriptions. If one stream drops, the others keep your income steady.

Use LIVE to build loyalty

Regular LIVEs turn casual viewers into a community. Loyal fans are the ones who send gifts, subscribe and buy what you recommend.
